Who else has a laundry room out there that needs a makeover? Mine was definitely needing a good cleaning, but also it looked tired and cluttered. To spruce things up, I turned to wallpaper as my first step.

I looked through so many patterns, but ended up choosing Tangerine Bloom by Spoonflower. It was so full of life and fun that I couldn’t refuse. And while it had a lot of orange (you know my love/hate relationship with that color by now), the shades of green and pink on the white background just drew me in. I think I like orange now!

The wallpaper covered the top of the wall, and so I needed another option for the bottom. I turned to my garage and found the leftover beadboard from Annabella’s Studio that I had also used on the outside of my greenhouse.

My handy neighbor installed it for me and then I began dreaming of paint. Green was the perfect answer. To match the green in the wallpaper, I used Sherwin Williams Talipot Palm.

I painted my wall hanger, which was the baseboard to my grandma’s twin bed, in Razzle Dazzle by Benjamin Moore.

I even found the cutest antique dresser on Craigslist to keep all our pool towels.

This metal vintage-looking laundry basket in copper was a huge score! My friend, Shari Sloane who does a lot of sewing for me, took a green checked tablecloth I also found on Amazon and made a cute liner to give it some personality. Isn’t that darling?

I kept all my woven storage baskets for cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, and gift bags.

We even designated a colorful hanging bag for recycling our plastic grocery bags.

Oh, and did I mention we took off the door? We never closed that door anyway and it was eating up some very useful space in the room. So, off it’s hinges it went! It’s so spacious in there now. I love walking by that room and glancing inside. I couldn’t be happier with the result, and the dogs seem to love it too!
