The Laundry Room | My Whimsical Cabin Makeover

Every cabin desperately needs a laundry room and luckily we had one. It’s small, but we didn’t need a large space.

The problem was the eyesore of the hot water tank. It’s new and was put in when the cabin was renovated last year, so while a tankless would have been amazing, we’re not replacing it.

This tank is the first thing you see when you open the pocket door. It needed to be hidden.  I found this shower curtain for only $10.

I hung it using little hooks that screwed directly into the ceiling.  I found this slim rolling laundry basket which fit the space perfectly.

We needed a little storage so I found this cabinet on FB Marketplace for $50.

It had the right depth to store our laundry detergent and other things.

I used Dixie Belle Daisy chalk paint to gave it a bit of life and personality.

I happened to have a small piece of some wallpaper from a leftover project back home, so I cut a piece and put it inside to add a bit of whimsy.

Then, I added a few cute decorative pieces to liven up the space.

I got these two fun bird feeder decor from Dollar General on clearance.

I put my Antique Candle Company candles on the shelves too.

AJ Madison reached out and offered to send me a washer and dryer set. I got the LG ThinQ 24 inch washer and a 24 inch ventless dryer. I love them because they not only save space, they do a great job cleaning our clothes!

I got this great watercolor of swimsuits for the wall…it didn’t need much to liven it up.

The whole space came together pretty easily.

The yellow paint really livened it up.

To think it was just a bare space and now it looks like this, I’m really satisfied with the outcome!

You can see my full tour of this space on my YouTube episode by clicking here.

I’ve got more cabin room makeovers from the past month including my dining room on my blog.

As always, I would love to hear your thoughts the outside. Stay tuned next week for another room makeover!
