Swiftie Chairs for Charity
As a designer, I’ve always drawn inspiration from the art and music that moves me. When I embarked on the journey to create a collection of chairs inspired by Taylor Swift’s albums (all because my daughters and I got tickets to her Eras concert), I did so with a lot of passion and creativity.
Each chair in the collection represents one of her albums, capturing the unique aesthetic and themes of her music. I poured my heart into designing these chairs, imagining what her music would look like if it were on a chair. From Lover to her debut album, each chair tells a story, much like Taylor’s music does.
But recently, I’ve realized that these chairs could do more than just tell stories—they could help make a real difference. That’s why I’ve decided to donate the proceeds from my entire collection of Taylor Swift-inspired chairs to a local food shelter that supports families in need, the Round Rock Serving Center. The chairs are now up for auction and you can be a lucky winner!

Lover: A Seat of Comfort
The Lover inspired chair, with its roses and luminous crushed pink velvet, symbolizes love and joy. I crafted it using cues from Taylor’s videos from this album. It was a stretch for me to design this first chair complete with a pink painted frame and embellished carvings. You can check this one out by clicking here.
Reputation: Strength in Darkness
The Reputation inspired chair, with its gothic, snake-patterned velvet, represents overcoming adversity and standing tall in tough times. As the music on this album points out, even in dark times, there is a path forward. I designed this chair to show the beauty in darkness. Click here for the Reputation inspired chair.
Folklore: Right out of a Storybook
With its woodsy, natural theme, the Folklore inspired chair offers a perfect story-book setting. Its embroidered fabric and mossy back reflect the beauty of the outdoors, providing a peaceful place for someone to relax, think, or dream. And that is exactly what this album is all about…dreaming of stories. Click here for the Folklore inspired chair.
Midnights: Hope in the Dark
The Midnights inspired chair, dark velvet sprinkled with diamonds throughout and colorful reflective sequins on the backside, captures the mystery and beauty of the night. For those dreams that occur at midnight, there can be stars of hope shining through. Click here for the Midnights inspired chair.
Fearless: Courage to Move Forward
The Fearless inspired chair, with its golden velvet and sequin-adorned frame shaped like Taylor’s profile picture on her album, is a reminder of courage and boldness. It will be a bright, shining symbol of fearlessness for someone who needs encouragement to face their own battles. Click here for the Fearless inspired chair.
Evermore: Growth and Reflection
The Evermore inspired chair’s deep purple velvet and embroidered flowers tell a story of growth through struggle. This chair is perfect for a quiet corner where someone might take a moment to reflect and find peace. I thought about the darker songs on this album when I designed this chair. Red: Bold Passion
I designed this with the bold black and white striped sequins on the top, heart on the backside, and a vibrant red vinyl sparkly seat. The Red inspired chair is a statement piece that reminds us to hold on to love and passion, even during the hardest times. The scarf draped over it, a nod to “All Too Well,” symbolizes cherished memories and emotional strength. Click here for the Red inspired chair.
1989: A Tie to My Past
The 1989 inspired chair, made from my old blue jean jacket that I wore that year as a teenager features seagull accents and captures the spirit of reinvention and starting fresh. It’s the year Taylor was born! This chair offers a sense of freedom and new beginnings. Click here for the 1989 inspired chair.
Speak Now: Fairytale Moments
The Speak Now inspired chair, adorned with purple flowers and reminiscent of a ball gown, offers a little magic in an everyday space. I hope it brings a sense of joy and wonder. I designed this with the idea of a ballgown in mind. Click here for the Speak Now inspired chair.
Debut: Roots and Growth
The chair inspired by Taylor’s debut album is covered in curly fur and a blue jean top, symbolizing her early roots and the beginnings in country music complete with butterflies on the backside. I hope it inspires others to remember where they came from and how far they can go. Click here for the Debut inspired chair.
The Torture Poet’s Department: Torture or Poetry?
Lastly, The Torture Poet’s Department inspired chair, with its Victorian dress and black dog silhouette of my dog, brings an element of intrigue and intense emotion. The frame is decoupaged with poems from Emily Dickinson, another tortured poet. There’s a Rolling Stones article, “Come for the Torture, Stay for the Poetry” and this is the perfect description for this album. Click here for the TTPD inspired chair.
Giving Back Through Design
My hope is that these chairs will brighten the rooms of whomever gets these chairs. They were designed with creativity in mind, but also with hope of making a difference in people’s lives, specifically those who line up each week at this food shelter to get what they need for their families. These families are going through difficult times, but I believe that small touches, like a beautifully designed chair, can make a big difference. It’s my way of giving back, of turning my passion for design into something that can help others, just as Taylor’s music has helped so many through life’s ups and downs. And you can help too.
Click here to participate in the auction and please spread the word…the auction closes Monday October 21 and the chairs will go to the highest bidder!
