Meet The Pink and Fiesta Collections!

You may remember this past spring when I was working on some new additions to my chair collections. I filmed myself working on each one and explained my thinking as I styled each chair. These fun little videos became the basis for my newest mini course, Styling with the Chair Stylist, which has been a huge hit! It’s a compact design series that focuses on picking fabrics that create showstoppers in your home.

The Pink Collection is one of two newest collections to my chair line. It all began with the Desert Rose Chair that I put together to complement the dishes I received as a wedding gift more than 27 years ago. I needed something serious (the top fabric) and something fun (the seat fabric) to meet the traditional look of my dishes. You might remember a previous blog about my process on this chair.

Next, I added another chair with a pink check seat and fun floral with red and pink that I had been eyeing for the past year. You can’t go wrong with pink buffalo check! I named this one Red and Pink Joy.

The next floral was paired with a heavier seat in teal velvet and is appropriately named Floral and Teal. The chair is taller allowing more room to show off the amazing floral by Designer’s Guild.

And finally, I unleashed my dreams of embellishing chairs with fun paint accents. These two chairs are named Alice in Wonderland. On the front, you see the green embroidery, but the backside holds a fuchsia floral.

The seats are slightly different with one check and the other in stripes. The embellished flowers are in pink, red, yellow, and green. I loved every minute creating these.

Next, I turned my attention to another new collection I named Fiesta. I used embroideries, bright colors, and even pompom trim. Carnival Fun shows off those pompoms with a brightly colored rug repurposed for the seat fabric.

Blue Tutti Fruiti accurately describes this tall chair that really shows off the best of this embroidery on the front and backsides. A fresh blue velvet seat brings out the blues in that top fabric.

And Kahlo in Pink sports a fuchsia velvet seat with a multi-colored embroidery on top.

The backside has a fun raised dot embroidery. All of the chairs in the Fiesta Collection have a natural wood finish to give off a relaxed feel.

And there you go! My two newest collections. I’m working on some new additions to my other collections, so my studio is brimming with new fabrics that you are going to die over! I can’t wait to show you! Until then…
