How I Transformed My Boring Shed into a Pink Paradise
Last year, our shed was packed to the brim—think tools, weights, wood scraps, and random finds from around the property. It was the kind of space that felt more like a “close-your-eyes-and-dump-it” zone than anything remotely inspiring.

But this year, I wanted something more.
I wanted a space that felt joyful. Functional. Whimsical. Me.
So my husband kindly cut out the bulky shelves to open things up—and while that helped, I was still staring at raw wood and bare walls that didn’t exactly say, “Let’s make something magical!”

The Paint: “Loveable” Pink
Enter Sherwin-Williams “Loveable,” a sweet, cheerful pink I found through Lowe’s. I used a Graco Cordless Handheld Airless Paint Sprayer (powered by a drill—who knew?) and went to town spraying the inside from top to bottom.

It made the job so much faster and way more fun. I even got the ceiling and beams coated in pink bliss.

Leftovers Turned Luxe
We had just enough leftover vinyl plank flooring from our cabin renovation to cover the shed floor. And let me tell you—it instantly elevated the space. From rugged plywood to sleek wood-look planks, the transformation felt like night and day.

Sunshine in the Ceiling
Next came the chandelier. I found a fixture that had a bit of antique charm and gave it a bold refresh with a coat of bright yellow paint (Rustoleum American Accents Sun Yellow).

It’s hanging like a crown jewel, and I’m already imagining string lights, garden tools, and maybe even some framed art to keep me company while I work (or do a few squats with my dumbbells).

What I Use This Shed For
This space wears a lot of hats. It’s my:
-
Chair repair zone
-
Home gym
-
Gardening gear storage
-
Seasonal catch-all
…and now, it’s a place that makes me smile every time I open the doors.

What’s Next?
This is just the beginning. I’ve got plans to decorate with both fun and function in mind—so stay tuned as I bring in pieces that bring joy and keep things organized. I can’t wait to share the next phase with you! If you have any suggestions for making this more fun, please share…I’m always up for it!
