A Fancy-Schmancy Website
You might have noticed something different about my website…yep it’s new! Yippee!!! So why did I need a new one? Well, my business is ever evolving (as most businesses do)…I design chairs, I help clients find fabrics, and I teach courses to show others how to do what I do. My old website just couldn’t keep up. So I turned to the most talented website designer, Natalie McGuire, who had all the great ideas. And here’s the journey she took me on…
First, I filled out an extensive workbook about me, my brand, and my customers. Then, Natalie had me create a Pinterest board with things I loved so that she would have a good idea of how to design my site. Of course, I love color and everything whimsical!
Based on all that feedback, Natalie designed two different mood boards for me to consider. She’s so good at what she does that it was almost impossible for me to decide which I loved more. Here they are below…
Did you notice the mini chairs in the background…could you get any better than that design??? And keeping the pink and red as my main colors was a no-brainer, but Natalie added in more fun colors.
Either way would have been a big win for me, but I ended up deciding on the first one. Natalie added some great background designs to my Chair Collections page, too. How fun are these? I mean seriously…rick-rack!!!
Even my Free Styling Guide has a fun background with textiles!!! That is so me.
Natalie had so many great ideas, such as adding more freebies so all my friends can benefit from extra tips for free! Now, I have 4 freebies total.
If I had to pick my favorite thing, it would be the background video…which you can see a preview of on my main Courses page. It’s faded it the background, but just wait because you’ll see me walk out with my coffee and wave at you! More videos are coming as my waitlist pages change to the actual courses when they open up for enrollment in August and September. You will love them!
I can’t help but be proud of what Natalie created. It feels authentic to me and my brand. It’s what I stand for—bringing joy into people’s lives and helping them to live a more creative life. I hope this has brought you some joy, too!
