Design Plans for the Camper
This weekend we are taking our first “real trip” in our camper—Yay! The past month has been spent learning all the things we need to know and fixing the small things where we could. This past Thursday we hit the road to spend a few days at Big Bend National Park. And all the while I’ve been doing some planning and dreaming for the makeover of the interior of the camper. Here’s some of my ideas.
First, I’ll be painting the inside cabinets and ceiling white. That will help brighten up the space. I’ve already had the silver sink faucet replaced with a gold one. So naturally the hardware and hinges will need to be gold too.
The vinyl covers on the cushions were cracking , so I selected a melon, pink, and white color scheme for the update. My friend Laura at South Austin Upholstery is making those for me. It’s going to be so great when it all comes together!
I’ve purchased the fabric for the new roman shades. It’s the whimsical stripe above and my amazing friends at Plush Fabric Home Interiors will be creating those for me.
I picked two different wallpapers. The gingham wallpaper is from Spoonflower and will go inside the cabinets to add a little fun in an unexpected place. The cute camel wallpaper is from Katie Kime and will go on the walls. I’m also dreaming of various fabrics from Schumacher for pillows. The embroidery dragon is absolutely amazing as well as the fun block prints from Molly Mahon for Schumacher.
I plan on making these changes during the month of November, so stay tuned for updates and the final reveal! Click here to watch a tour of my camper makeover! And if you want to see the final reveal of the camper makeover, click here to see that!
