My Favorite Art for the Home

In the past couple of years I’ve noticed a few artists that have amazing work. I’ve purchased some of their pieces in my own home.

Here’s my top 6 in no particular order.

My daughter Raegan!  She’s an engineer by trade but paints the best Fridas. I’ve received 8 of these beauties.  She has a small shop on Redbubble where she sells some of her prints as canvases.

Speaking of Frida, Brittany Attkinson has all sort of amazing prints for sale plus some originals and limited edition prints. I have a small print in my hall bathroom and a large original in my living room. (She does custom jobs too!)

Jennifer Paganelli is an artist who paints wonderful ladies and flowers in various forms. I got one of her cute lady in a swim cap on canvas, but she also does works on paper and larger works. (She has a pretty good sale page too!)

Think historical figures can’t be whimsical? Think again with art from Lindsay Ekstrom, the self-taught painter of LX Artworks. I bought two of her canvas prints last year, but she has apparel and other fun things to buy with historical figures from Frida to Queen Elizabeth.

Maren Divine is the artist of the newest Frida in my bathroom. I just love the colors and texture of this printed canvas. You can see her amazing Fridas here.

But she paints more than just Fridas. You can check out her other florals and warrior girls as well as all the others on her site here.

Susan Brown is the artist behind the Femme Hesse brand. She not only has fun prints, but she also has originals and pillows. I’ve got a few of them on my sofas in my home.

As you are preparing to shop for Christmas this year, consider buying from these independent artists who are creating amazing original art.  As always, you know I love Carrie Schmitt’s art and she will be dropping new art November 1.

Here’s a link to my Like to Know It Shop with my favorite picks from artists from above. Happy shopping!
