It’s that time of year…the time when I give away a chair to a Chair Whimsy Fan. This year I’ve got a special treat. Let me introduce you to her…

I have been searching for months to find a unique chair to fix up and give away. Everything I found was just not right…until I spied this sweetheart in San Antonio last month—it was love at first sight. Never mind that it was covered in a faded orange fabric. It had all the right curves in all the right places. It’s petite, so it can technically go anywhere, even a small bathroom can handle this cutie.

Then, the search focused in on the fabric I would use to transform it. I thought of cowhide…and, I love cowhides, but I do a lot of that already. No, this had to be special.

I settled on this fabric— I found it months ago in a local shop and tried to convince a client to use it. (She selected something else instead that was equally as beautiful.) This feminine fabric has an unexpected bite—a tiny splash of red on the backside for a nice surprise.
