Nothing makes me happier than using my daughter’

Nothing makes me happier than using my daughter’s art on the back of a chair and here’s an example of a chair I just finished.

Most of the time I find that chairs like this need a solid front, but I have done it with a pattern too. It just takes a little finessing with the color of the frame and the style of the chair.

I’ve never done this before… Actually 2 things

I’ve never done this before…
Actually 2 things:
1) never decoupaged a chair
This was done with poems from Emily Dickinson…another female tortured poet.
2) never created my own silhouette
This was done from using a picture of my dog Maui…a nod to “The Black Dog” song.

I wanted this chair to fully represent the album TTPD and this encompasses my best ideas…with a little stretching of my creativity and imagination.

I took on this project of creating all 11 Taylor Swift albums because I wanted to challenge myself creatively. It certainly did that! For most of them, I had doubts that I could actually carry them out. But I pushed through, did the work, and tried new things. It’s always worth it in the end!
