Yes, I know it’s fall, but lately it has felt like spring in my workshop. And, my latest set of chairs for a client is the main cause. We started out with a cute set of vintage dining chairs that had great curves, but an unsavory color and upholstery.
Lucky for me, my client selected an amazing floral by Designer’s Guild. The frames were painted white to make a perfect backdrop for the floral.
There were so many different florals on this fabric, I had plenty to work with and could make each chair unique.
I can’t even pick a favorite, but I do love all the reds and pinks on these. The yellows make a nice contrast to the other brights. I was able to mix and match flowers on the seats, backs, and tops.
The background of the fabric had a blue/grey tone to it, allowing the brighter colors to pop. Wow, I am amazed just looking at these again!
Could you celebrate spring all year with a set like these? Which floral do you like the best? I would love to hear about it in the comments section!
